I learned about this awesome graphic novel in my Gender and Culture in Latin America class last night. SEXILE/SEXILIO is available on-line in both Spanish and English. It is a graphic novel that presents HIV prevention messages through a witty narrative style and intimate personal storytelling. The novel focuses on the life of one transgendered woman's journey from Cuba to the USA.

Amazing story. Well written and illustrated - not to mention the beauty of Adela's journey through life and sexile. Her strength and ability to not just survive, but thrive, is something I hope we can all learn from.
