current.com and current tv

Hi folks, I've been watching the "current" tv network a bit lately. It's cool. It tells me about social justice issues in the U.S. and around the world. The programming is made up of short segments from 5-20 minutes long. It's blatantly targeted to young people and utilizes a blend of tv and the internet. The website, current.com, is presently displaying a headline on a scandal at the University of Nebraska involving male wrestlers who posed nude for a pornography website, and another on the Wal-Mart union in China vs. the lack of a union in the U.S. It's channel 22 on my dial. Guide to NYC Women's and Social Justice Organizations

I did a google search for "nyc social justice" and one of the first things that came up was the Guide to NYC Women's and Social Justice Organizations, a resource put together by the Barnard Center for Research on Women. It looks like a useful and in-depth listing, and I really appreciate that it is organized by category as well as alphabetically.

Check it out if you have a minute. You might find an organization you'd like to engage with personally/professionally. I hope everyone is doing great...

Any other helpful resources out there regarding nyc social justice organizations or events? thanks!
